Notice of Solid Waste Collection Rate Increase

The City of Grand Saline wishes to inform all residential and commercial utility customers that the monthly solid waste collection rates will be increasing due to a rate increase imposed by the City's contracted solid waste collection provider.

The revised rates will go in effect and will appear on utility bills beginning August 2026.

This increase is necessary to cover the higher cost of providing solid waste collection services and to ensure the continued reliable collection and disposal of residential and commercial refuse.

💧 Infrastructure Maintenance Continues 💧

On June 15, 2026, US Underwater Commercial Dive Team was on site at the Tower Street Ground Water Storage Facility performing important maintenance work to help protect and improve our water system. The dive team removed accumulated sediment from the storage tank and completed necessary repairs to ensure the facility continues operating efficiently for our community. Routine maintenance like this helps extend the life of critical infrastructure, maintain water quality, and support dependable service for Grand Saline residents.

At the June 16, 2026, Grand Saline City Council meeting, the City proudly welcomed home Police Officer Eric Davis following nine months of active-duty service with the National Guard in Washington, D.C.

In recognition of his dedication and service to our nation, Senator Bob Hall presented Officer Davis with a Texas flag that was flown over the Texas State Capitol on Memorial Day.

Mayor Kathy Smith also presented Officer Davis with gifts on behalf of the citizens of Grand Saline, expressing the community’s gratitude for his commitment and sacrifice.

The City extends its appreciation to the Grand Saline Chamber of Commerce for providing refreshments for all in attendance and helping make the occasion a special celebration.

Please join us in thanking Officer Eric Davis for his service to both our country and our community. We are proud to have him back home and serving the citizens of Grand Saline.
